It is hard to imagine the low walls outlining the peaceful ruins of Skriðuklaustur today as the bustling heart of a rich medieval monastic estate, so we spent three years experimenting with digital tools to help visitors encounter this vision of the past.

We invite you to step into the past, and to be inspired for the interpretation of your heritage sites in the future.

Brief background, e.g. where is Skriðuklaustur? When was it discovered? What is it? What problems of interpretation did GST want to overcome?

Links to the various resources in CINEGATE and elsewhere, perhaps with a brief text for each that outlines e.g. what the resource aims to achieve, what historical information or technical know-how was required to make it, all with the aim of inspiring other heritage people to try for themselves.
